Draft. This document is a placeholder outlining the sections the final text will cover. It has not been legally reviewed and is not binding.

1. Information We Collect

Will itemize the identity details you provide at signup, such as your name and email address; data about the device the app runs on; and the documents, journal entries and recordings produced when you use the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

Will explain the purposes we process your information for: creating and securing your account, performing and recording notarizations, supporting you, and meeting our legal obligations.

3. Device Attestation

VeriNotaryo uses Apple's App Attest to confirm that requests come from a genuine, unmodified install of our app. This section will describe the cryptographic key and attestation data involved, why they are needed to protect notarial records, and what they do and do not reveal about you or your device.

4. Service Providers

Will name the providers that process data on our behalf, including our cloud hosting and the email service that delivers verification messages, and the terms under which they may handle it.

5. Disclosure of Information

Will describe the limited situations in which we disclose information, such as valid legal process or a business transfer, and confirm that we do not sell personal information.

6. Data Retention

Will state how long each category of data is kept, including the retention periods that notarial recordkeeping law imposes on journals and recordings independently of your account.

7. Security

Will summarize the safeguards protecting your information in transit and at rest, and note that no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Will explain how to access, correct, export or delete your information, how to close your account, and the limits that mandatory recordkeeping places on deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

Will confirm that VeriNotaryo is not directed to children and describe what we do if we learn we have collected a child's information.

10. International Transfers

Will identify where your information is stored and processed and the protections applied when it moves between jurisdictions.

11. Changes to This Policy

Will describe how we notify you of revisions and when they take effect.

12. Contact

Contact details for privacy questions and requests will be published here.
